This is an app for Skuld from Aa Megami-sama/Oh My Goddess. She is taken from post canon. CWs: explosions, cartoon levels of violence, teen angst, divorce. That's probably about it. She's a pretty pure character.

The biggest warning is for spoilers, given she is from just post canon.

Backtagging: Absolutely!
Fourth walling: Please ask first, but usually yes.
Thread hopping : Sure!
Content warnings and sensitive subjects: Yes, please warn and I will do the same. (unless this is asking about my triggers? If so they are as follows:
insects that sting and fly, even naming them or images or that sound
Beetle type insects other than Ladybugs
9/11
Nudity
Swearing (though I have a filter on my web browser, so if you do swear it'll get bleeped out for me if I am on the computer, so you just won't get phone tags from me. Though if you alter spellings to avoid the filter it may not work for me >.<)
Rated R/X/NC-17 scenes (bedroom type and language type. Fictional violence/gore I am fine with so long as it is not extreme)

Anything else: I know I have a lot of triggers, but I am willing to work with people and I hope I can provide RP and friendship good enough to be wroth putting up with my anxiety and other issues.

★ In Character Permissions ★

Physical affection: Ask OOC first and we can plot. Skuld can be very weird about this.
Romance: Again, ask OOC first, this is very tied to her full potential.
Violence: Ask OOC, but probably fine so long as you don't mind that she gives as good as she gets.
Injuries : I feel like ask OOC, but probably is becoming a running theme here. Ask OOC, but probably yes depending what we plot. She does heal really really quickly though, so be warned.
Death: I'd rather not.
Telepathy and mind-reading: Sure, just we should talk OOC first because her thoughts may translate oddly depending on how she is read.
Content warnings and sensitive subjects related to the character: Bombs, explosions, weaponry. I think that's about the worst of it for Skuld. Oh, religion. Since that can be a hot button for some people.
Content warnings and sensitive subjects this character won't be involved in: See my trigger list? Other from that, I am willing to discuss pretty much anything OOC to plot for IC funtimes!

Warning for massive Aa Megamisama spoilers, as well as angst. Trigger warnings for explosions, cartoon level violence. Not sure what else in her canon might need warnings. Oh bugs, but when I use bugs here I mean the physical manifestation of computer bugs. They are actually adorable.

Warning for spoilers for Aa Megamaisama, Descendants/Isle Of The Lost. And probably angst.

Warning for spoilers for both Aa Megamisama and Kyo Kara Maoh. Seriously, you have been warned.
manga_goddess_skuld: (Accusation)
The Goddesses and Morisato had no idea that Aoishima was up to his old tricks again. They certainly has no idea that someone was coming who was planning to buy their home. So for them it was just another typical day.

For... generous definitions of typical.

The address he would be coming to check out was a manmade hill with a plateau, steep stairs. That much he would have been told about. And the photos were from ground level, as he was now, hiding from that vantage that there was anything on top.

But there was. And his first clue of that as he approached was a loud explosion that shook the ground under his feet. The houses on either side of the street went dark as their power went out. A muffled angry female shout came from the top of the stairs, followed by another - though a different voice.

And then, since anyone else on the street had done the smart thing and ran, he was the only one treated to the view of a winged... something... rising up from the upper ground into the sky. The sun being on the far side left the figure in blurry silhouette so that all he could make out were wide spread wings and a long dangling body. Then even that was blanked out as storm clouds rolled in. far too quickly to be natural....
manga_goddess_skuld: (Angry with mallet)
"GET BACK HERE!" the young Goddess screamed as she ran after the odd creature. The thing looked like an odd cross of a rabbit, a rat, and the world's most cutsy and cartoony spider. The legs were the spider part, there were only six but they were long and the bent knees were the thing's tallest parts at rest. Except maybe the black tipped ears on the otherwise sheet white creature.

the "bug" was about as big as a house cat and wasn't listening to her at all. It kept running around, causing glitches happily, for it was a bug in the computer sense as well as the creature sense, and Skuld was a genius debugger. That just sometimes was a more physical job for Goddesses than it was for humans.

This goddess had goggles strapped over her eyes and a hammer in her hand that had a thin haft taller than she was and a head like a red and white whack-a-mole mallet.

"I've got him!" what looked like a 6 year old girl yelled, charging at the bug from the other side. It changed directions to run from both of them to find a rotund robot in its path, angular hat pushed up to show off the angry eyebrows Banpei had given himself not five minutes ago with a sharpie.

Skuld closed in on the bug triumphantly as she swung her hammer.

But if the bug was going down, it was crashing a system on the way. It opened a transit portal just before the hammer squashed it. Not fast enough to save the bug from Skuld, but fast enough to drag poor BB-8 to right next to where it had been, the mallet JUST missing the droid's side...
manga_goddess_skuld: (BOOM)
Hey look, another portal to who knows where! There were a few things different about this one though.

For one thing voices were coming out of it in an odd mix of languages before resolving into the one Hiro knew best.

For another? It opened up right beside him, without any tech that he could see on his end that should have opened any such portal.

And if more weirdness was needed? It had gravity. Like a lot of it. He and much of the stuff around him was being pulled towards the center of it.

As to the voices coming out of it:

"You big baka! Mitaru at this mess! Everyone knows you can't make a mon to Yggdrasil with those calculations! That's not a bridge mandala! It's a summoning portal!" A youngish sounding female voice was screaming. "Idiot! Baka!"

An angry older voice, this one clearly belonging to an adult woman was screaming back. "Well maybe if the paper with all the calculations wasn't covered in ice cream I could read it!"

The voices grew louder, or rather, thanks to the increasing gravity, he was pulled closer.

"Maybe if you'd stop making your weirdo medicines and testing them on yourself all the time you could actually read basic Ndiminesional math!" the first voice accused

"Oho?" The second asked, almost purring now, all trace of anger seemingly gone. "Then who should I test it on I suppose? You, dear little sist... OW!" That would be when the first large item made it through. "What in the OW! It's raining... supplies of some sort!"

"I told you it's a summoning!" the first voice called, frantic. "Quick, erase the summoning sigil from the northwest sector."

"If I knew which one was the summoning sigil I wouldn't have used it!" the woman protested as he was falling into the portal.

"How did you ever get your license?" The younger one demanded. "It's this one here!" She started scrubbing at it furiously with the stick end of what looked like a comically large mallet.

Because now he could see the pair on the ground below him. The rapidly approaching ground. The woman was floating above some huge complicated design actually etched into the stone courtyard of some sort of Japanese temple. Her white hair was dancing weightless in the air around her.

The girl, on the other hand was firmly on the ground, fighting to obliterate one of the many complicated symbols, focused and frustrated, her long black hair hanging limp as an odd shaped robot and what looked like a small child tried to help her. "OH FOR GODDESS SAKE!" she finally yelled. "BACK!"

The woman floated up higher, the robot and the child rushed back as the teenager pulled what looked like one of those odd game balls with the wires out... of her shirt.... and threw it on the ground. The ground he was still approaching, though his fall was slowing.

There was a loud explosion that blew him back up several feet before letting him resume falling. More than half of the complicated circle and its symbols had been replaced with a smoking crater. The teenager looked more than a little worse for the wear standing right at the edge of it. She opened her mouth to speak, or cough when the woman finally looked up.

"INCOMING!" the woman said, seeing him falling at them with the last few of his belongings. "Wait, why is he falling as slowly as the book is?"

"SCIENCE!" the teen shouted in frustration. "SAVE HIM!"

"Yeah yeah," the woman said. "On it," she muttered, flying up to meet him, wings coming out of her back, one pure white, one jet black. And as she got closer he'd see that her face, chest, and clothes, had "Idiot!" written all over it in various odd typefaces. Usually with outlines, sometimes with drop shadows.
manga_goddess_skuld: (Examining the frame)
Skuld was bushed. She had been up all night fighting bugs in the Yggdrasil code. Stupid Urd couldn't handle it herself, so of course she had to call in a super genius. And Skuld didn't mind helping, really. It was her job after all. But would it have killed her big sister to thank her? Or give her some ice cream?

Tired, and mind more on the pint of Ben and Jerry's that Keiichi better not have eaten than on where she was going, she dropped into the pool of hot water she was using...

And came out of Suri's teacup. The young goddess gasped at how hot and narrow it was then appeared floating over the cup. "Ow! Belldandy why is the tea always so ho...." she stopped, staring at Shuri. That... wasn't her big sister. Uh oh.

She looked around quickly and for a moment was worried and then.... "OOOOOOO!" She spotted an interesting bit of tech. Landing neatly on the floor she dashed over to it, looking but not touching. This was someone else's lab after all.

She dropped down to peer at the underside of the sand table "What kind of magnetic force are you using for this?" she asked, fascinated. She shifted over to get a bit closer to one of the panels and whistled. "Three quarter inch half screws. What are they made of? Non-ferrous.... She learned a little closer. "Is that brass? How do you get it to support the pressure when the table is activated?" she asked. She popped to her feet and circled the table, fascinated. "A transponder unit... what would you need that for?" she was mostly talking to the device now, and might have forgotten Shuri all together.

Character name: Skuld
Character Journal: Manga_Goddess_Skuld
Canon: Aa megamisama (Manga not anime)
Canon Point: Just past the end of the chapter where Sentaro gloomily tells her he is moving, and she points out that it's fine, because she's a Goddess!
Age: She looks like she's early to mid teens, but as she isn't human it is hard to tell. Implication is that she is much older than that, though she is still emotionally a teenager, and is at about that maturity level. It is hard to tell if she seems to be growing at a human pace simply because she is on earth, if that is her normal pace or if (and this is the most likely) that she is aging visibly as a direct correlation to the growth of her powers. Her emblem is the future, and at one point when their powers/connection to Yggdrasil was sundered, she started aging rapidly. Balancing out her powers returned her to her normal appearance.

Canon Character Information
Appearance:
Skuld looks like a girl in her early to mid teens, and with two exceptions she could pass for human. One exception would be the three emblems on her face. The other would be - in most worlds anyway - the insane amount of hair she has. It seems to be one of the few constants in the series, visually - humans seem to have normal length hair, Goddesses often have very long hair (Except Lind, for some reason), and Demons often have a normal length - but more fullness. She is average height for the age she appears to be, with a slender form and normal enough face. Pretty working her way to beautiful, but not there yet.

Except when she feels love. Then her unearthly beauty starts to shine through.

History:
http://ohmygoddess.wikia.com/wiki/Skuld

Skuld joins the series as a Goddess, Second Class, limited. Which means that she does not yet have the limitation that says she cannot lie (which we learn about much later thanks to Urd, who always lies and will never be First Class for that reason). She claims that she came to Earth because of all the "bugs" in the code caused by her sisters being on Earth for so long. This is both true and not, skirting the lines of honesty, and her guilt gets he to confess after the fact, seeing it herself as a lie. She was lonely, she wanted big sister Belldandy back in Yggdrasil with her. We learn during this section that despite her age and immaturity, Skuld is the best debugger in Yggdrasil - which houses the computers that run the universe. We also learn that in some dimensions, like Earth, buggy code can become literal. She gives everyone special glasses to see the bugs, and special mallets to squash them - the dream of so many programers before her.

Skuld's theories about the cause of the bugs, while logical, are all brought about by her preconceived desire to bring Belldandy home, so it takes rather longer than it should to find the true root of them. She winds up building a machine to eat the bugs, and as far as we know it is still in some forgotten corner of the temple somewhere, running happily.

With the crisis averted, and Keiichi no longer in danger of turning two dimensional or falling into some odd offshoot world, Skuld tries again to get Belldandy to come home. But Bell has a contract with Keiichi to stay with him forever (though later it's implied that Forever means until he dies, not actually forever, as she is nearly immortal) So Skuld decides she's staying to make sure that Keiichi keeps his grubby human hands off her precious sister.

(please note the following section is not necessarily in order until we get to Sentaro)

Skuld builds a ton of machines, and claims to hate K1 (Keiichi), but she can usually be tricked into helping him when a machine needs to be built or fixed. Sometimes she'll decide to fix something on her own, and she had been working on his bike for him - something he is capable of doing himself - when he met his baby sister, Megumi Morisato. Megumi treated her like a kid, asking her brother if she was his and Bell's, to yank his chain. Which ticked off Skuld for multiple reasons. And then - WORSE - she criticized Skuld's work. Skuld stood up for her repairs, and they forced Keiichi to settle the score by riding the motorcycle. When it fell to bits, Skuld claimed that he wasn't "riding it right" and was about to try to blw Megumi up with a homemade Neo-Skuld bomb... when she was stopped. Two of Keiichi's senpais convinced the girls to compete in a mech battle. Megumi built a team of her fellow college students, Skuld built hers on her own. And when Skuld started winning, Megumi thought fast and turned it around, and was starting to win. So Skuld... hit the self destruct button on the remote control for her mech. leveling both mechs and the playing field. Belldandy made her make peace with Megumi, though she decided the other girl was her rival from then on. (A theme we almost never see again, even when Skuld winds up helping Megumi's softball team win a bet against the boys' baseball team at NIT)

Mara, a Demon from Urd's past (Urd being the eldest sister of the three, and the one Skuld is always at odds with), attacks, and after they escape Skuld does what she does best. She builds a machine - in this case, Banpei. As she steals the innards of most other machines in the Temple where they live (her usual MO) to build him, and as powering him on kills all the power to the Temple... She is told constantly to turn him off by Urd and Keiichi. One time after he is turned off, Belldandy finds him, unmoving and thinks he is broken. She uses her magic to heal him and... her magic combined with Skuld's magic and genius.... Banpei becomes feeling and sentient. Can't speak still, but he can love. And he falls in love with Belldandy. Because his primary programing was Demon fighting, and his secondary programing was to keep Belldandy and Keiichi apart, Banpei starts to resent Keiichi and attacks him regularly, Urd tries to shut him down and joins K1 on the enemies list.

And then one day, Keiichi finally gets to Belldandy long enough to get her to escape the temple with him, so they can talk, Banpei sees that she is gone, but left the lunchbox she had so lovingly made behind. So he disconnects himself from his power source and flies off to find her. He uses the last of his energy to deliver the lunch, and then powers down. Skuld tried to repair him, and while she got him functional again, his emotions and sentience were gone, as were all of his memory files. He was Banpei in form and programing. Belldandy kept hoping some of his special personality would resurface, but it never did. (Though another one develops, and is destroyed, then another develops and as of her canon point remains).

After a while, after a number of smaller adventures, Keiichi accidentally summons another Goddess. Peorth. Someone from home with a grudge against Bell. And while most of that resolution doesn't involve Skuld all that much as she moves back into background character status, when Peorth leaves, she swipes Skuld's enteire manga collection.... >.<

One other adventure lead to a creation of a second Urd, and ended with them having an Urd Skin Skuld used to create a trap for Demon Urd for force her to merge with Goddess Urd. This is important to Skuld, because she started having to admit that she does actually love Urd, (though we see some of that when Urd is summoned home and her return is foiled and she gets to stay) and because the adventure ends with that Urd skin remaining.

Skuld had finally managed to build emotion circuits for Banpei properly, and she also gave him an internal power source, hoping his personality would remerge. But he was a completely new 'Bot. But since his primary programing was still defense, and he was still in a house filled with the love of multiple Goddesses, he was still a good and self sacrificing sort. He wanted to go out with Bell and Keiichi when they went shopping, but because of his odd appearance, Keiichi told him to stay home. Banpei found the fake Urd skin and put it on, so that he could join them. But trying to find them he kept finding trouble instead, and had to keep stopping it. He saved a girl from a mugging, among other things, and had just caught up to them when he detected sounds of distress. He rushed to a building fire, where there was a single living thing still inside - a cat. Banpei flew in and saved the cat, the skin burning off in the process. He brought the cat out safely and then shut down... and that personality too was lost. And Keiichi never again complained about him coming out with them after Skuld repaired him, AGAIN.

The Goddess connection to Yggdrasil keeps them stabilized (I need to know what the mods want me to say does it for her in game, unless you guys are cool with her still having a connection, in which case I can expand on what that means, power-wise) and when they stopped Urd from being forced to go home to get her Goddess License renewed they accidentally crashed the system.... "Let me guess, this is the first time you three actually worked together?"/"Let me guess, this is the first time you three were all getting chewed out together?"... The connection to Yggdrasil broke. They were stranded on Earth with no way to renew their power. This is where we learned that Urd's love of booze and Skuld's mania for ice cream weren't just character traits - they were survival mechanisms. Whithout the connection, Urd started regressing in age, Skuld started aging, and Belldandy couldn't maintain a full sized body. Ice cream helped slow the aging process but it was up to Skuld and Keiichi with help of mini-Belldandy, and a well placed message from the Goddess' father the Almighty, to figure out a solution. Moon Rock bracelets, made artificially in a lab, that supplied them with power for one month, though almost a fill bracelet was expended each to restore them to normal. During this aged up time Skuld got an idea of what it was like to be an adult, and started to grow a little too fond of Keiichi. Those feelings mostly vanished when she became a "kid" again.

Until the rock of the three sisters. Urd spun some tale to Keiichi about this rock just off the coast and how there was a legend that if two people confessed their love on the rock, under the moonlight, they would be bound together forever. So K1 took them to the beach, despite being unable to swim, and mostly sat on the sand, lazy and bored. Miserable. Skuld squirted him with a water gun for checking out Belldandy in her swimsuit, but then decided to be "nice" to him, letting him try out her new Banpei model - an jet ski with Banpei's face and a remote control. She doesn't give him much of a choice, and is sure he is having fun even as he is screaming in terror. When he falls off and nearly drowns, Belldandy saves him. They go back to the Inn and Urd convinces him to look for the rocks again. He finds them - missed them before because of the tide - and heads back, but Skuld figured out what he was up to and set traps to stop him. "I didn't expect him to fall into all of them. Yeesh, even I'm starting to feel bad for him" He wasn't sure why his luck was so bad until he saw what seemed to be a really cute girl, half collapsed on the beach. She begged him for help getting to the inn, and he carried her, but she got heavier and heavier. He was almost fooled... until his keys flew from his pocket to stick to the girl. She was made of sand, but looked and felt so human, held together by a magnet. Once he realized that, Skuld panicked... and hit the self destruct. "Skillfully superb execution, absolutely amateurish ending, it's got to be Skuld." That made him even more determined to get back, despite being scorched and battered from the explosion and the traps. He finally got back, convinced Belldandy to come with him... then realized that he had no clue how to get her out to the rocks. Urd reappeared to "help" giving him Skuld's Banpei-RX again. He got back on the machine, with Bell and tried to make it for the rocks, but couldn't. He again began to drown. Bell saved him and landed on the rocks, because they were the closest thing to dry land. Skuld used water teleport to try and stop them... but her timing was the worst. She popped out of the water and landed between them...just as Keiichi was turning, finally confessing his love. Urd admitted to making up the legend, Bell was clueless, Keiichi was embarrassed but Skuld...

For some reason... Skuld couldn't get his confession out of her head. Even to the point of building a doll that looked like him, holding it as she pictured the words, punching it because he wasn't saying it to her and besides, she hates him, then picking it up and holding the doll close like she was sorry she hurt it. K1 decided that her moodiness and odd shyness around him probably meant that she was getting her time of the month for the first time, since his sister acted weird when she got hers and "she looks about the right age". He tried to ask Belldandy but chickened out, embarrassed when she didn't understand what he meant by "monthlies" so he went to the drugstore and bought her supplies, and some taiyaki, leaving them both with a note that said "I know ice cream might be hard on your tummy now, so enjoy these, and congratulations." She was beyond confused by the note, and by the inedible stuff he left her, but she did eat the cakes. And... she started to worry that she was noticing his kindness, that she was falling in love with him.

SO! She decided to go on a date with him, to prove to herself that she hated him. Urd caught wind of this, and to protect both her sisters, she decided to make sure Skuld remembered how much she hated him by secretly making the date miserable. She didn't understand why Belldandy kept fixing everything she made wrong. At the end of the "date" Skuld discovered that her sisters were interfering and correctly presumed that all that had gone wrong had been Urd's doing. Furious she lashed out at her sister, printing the word DUMMY across her face with magic - the first big magic we ever see her do other than the water teleport. Belldandy explains that all Goddesses get emotional when it is time for their powers to grow for the first time, and Skuld realizes that all the odd conflicting feelings about K1 are gone. "Keiichi, I hate you forever," she says, but she says it fondly, and it becomes obvious she might still want to, but she no longer quite can. But she isn't in love with him, and still wants him to back off her big sister.

The Demon Mara, sick of losing all the time, made a contract with a human woman - Sayoko - who hated Belldandy, and used a mind force amplifier to give her the ability to remake the NIT campus into a palace and enslave all within it. (By this point locals were so used to weirdness in the area that most just thought it was an elaborate prank of the seniors in the engineering department and Megumi's full comment on it was "Whelp, no school means no classes, right?") Skuld built ribbons for herself, her sisters, and Keiichi to block the mind control and they went in. Each of them found tests and tasks meant to distract and delay them. Skuld and Urd were forced many times to work together as they became seperated from Keiichi and Belldandy. Faced with the machine that was amplifying her powers, Skuld and Urd threw all they had at it, but couldn't destroy it... until they realized that it was a power amplifier... which meant.... they combined their magics and launched a volley of mean words wrapped in Urd's lightning at the machine which destroyed it. And most of the castle they were in. They fled together, realizing they might have over done it.

Not long after Sayoko's loss, Skuld wanted to increase her own power... So she could summon an Angel and she is, after all, a genius, and if Mara could magic up a mind force amplifier that affected everyone, Skuld was sure she could build one that would amplify herself only. And she might have managed it, except Keiichi came in to find out where the innards from one of his machines had gone. Seeing her in full on mad-scientist mode, he decided to come back later, but accidentally stepped on the on switch. She had not yet built an off switch. Her powers spun wildly out of control, forming a painfully fast wall of water between the two of them and her sisters. Urd had to accept her Angel, whom she had hidden from because it was a true representation of herself as all Angels are (Urd is terrified of her Demon half), because they needed that power to save Skuld and Keiichi. Once they were free, and Skuld had recovered from the ordeal, Urd wasted no time showing off her Angel, getting it in while she could knowing Skuld would soon have her own.

And Urd was right sooner than she expected to be. Skuld found the Angel Egg in Urd's room that she had ordered to try and reconnect with her Angel before she found she had the strength to call her all along. The Egg had signs all over it saying "Skuld, do not touch!" So, of course, Skuld had to touch it, had to pretend that she was going to swallow it... and then Urd startled her and she dropped it in her mouth, and accidentally swallowed it. She then passed out. Given Skuld's low levels of power, and her lack of control, it was possible the Angel would run wild and have to be sealed away for Skuld's own protection, but the Angel that was born was like any Angel except that she was ridiculously small. Skuld was thrilled to have her own Angel, no matter how small, and ADORED Nobel Scarlet.

Skuld, determined to have power enough to help her Angel grow finally started actually trying to learn magic, though she still relied on her machines for most things. But all she really achieved was a fancier font when she printed words on things. "You call that a new talent?"

And then one day Skuld was watching Belldandy on her bicycle. She understood a bike in theory, but she was more a motor sort of girl, so she started examining the bike, trying to figure out what made it so much fun to ride. Belldandy offered to teach her, and she started to refuse, but at some goading from Urd, she became determined. But she wanted to learn it her way. First she built knee and elbow pads that would release air to stabilize her. She would never admit that was a failure, just a misapplication of otherwise perfectly built tech. Then she decided to add out-rigger wheels. When Keiichi pointed out that was like a kid's bike, that idea was gone. THEN she thought to add a gyroscope and a motor. Belldandy convinced her to just try, without the tech.

After freaking out about where Keiichi was putting his hands "There's nowhere else to grip, Skuld!" She tried. And fell. She was stunned that Belldandy hadn't stopped her from falling, but clearly Belldandy just hadn't been fast enough, and obviously Keiichi wasn't holding her right. She tried again. And Again. And again. And every time Keiichi let go, she fell. And not once did her big sister save her. Belldandy was trying to teach her an important life lesson. That she always relies too much on her machines and other people, and that was why she couldn't learn her magic. That one always finds his or her "true path on the far side of suffering."

But for Skuld, who always had Belldandy's support, who was a genius that almost never failed badly enough to admit failure... she felt abandoned and stupid and inept for the first time in her life. She yelled that she was quitting and ran away.

Skuld was moping over bikes, watching people ride, sulking, when a shadow passed over her. She stared up and saw a boy flying over her head, aloft only by the bike under him. Her being under him startled him so much that he crashed on the far side of her. She rushed over, and as much as she hated bikes, a machine was a machine, so she started working to fix it. He asked if she loved bikes, and when she said she hated them and explained why, he told her "Bikes are fun because they CAN crash" and talked about the "Thrill of keeping something under control when it wants to wipe out." She admitted to not getting it - which was a huge sign of how much she matured from her first appearance - so he decoded to teach her.

Next thing she knew, she was on his bike, and he was standing behind her, hands over her hands on the handles, providing the balance. When she, despite herself, started to feel comfortable even with him screaming in her ear "WARP FACTOR NINE!" he let go, flying off the bike from momentum. She was riding a moment before she realized she was doing it on her own and once she had it... it all clicked for her. She often claims to be a genius and it was true. Once she grasped the concept of how she was meant to balance, it became easy for her in a moment. (We see a similar thing with Urd when she learns to play video games in about 2 seconds flat). She then "borrowed" his bike, to show Belldandy.

The confidence of having mastered the bike, plus Sentaro (the boy) being in her life so much provided a double jolt to her magical aptitude, and she began to master her magic faster and faster by the day. She learned what Belldandy was trying to teach her, that a Goddess' source of power is love. And her crush on Sentaro shows in that her magic becomes much easier for her when he is near, even though she often acts like he's a nuisance. She doesn't understand why she's happy to see him and that confuses her, and she doesn't know why he keeps coming over "Every stupid day" to show her new bike tricks. After he wipes out one time, she sends him to Belldandy for a bandage, and then tries some magic without guidance. She summons her power to make his bike as good as new. Not just repair the lose chain, but fully make it new.

She's so happy and pleased when he returns, excited to see how overjoyed he'd be... and she is crushed and devastated when he gets mad at her. "Scratches are history, Skuld!" He explains that every one of those dents and scratches was a special memory. They part ways, angry and hurt. Belldandy talks to Skuld about falling in love "I'm not in love with anyone!" and about the power of the magic words "I'm sorry". She goes and apologizes to Sentaro, and he starts teasing her, and things are okay between them again.

Meanwhile, Banpei's newest emotional circuits finally kick in. Skuld is using him as a motorcycle at one point (she has remade him a million times, adding and swapping features. While most are for defense some are more practical like his gardening set up and his motorbike and jetpack abilities. Yes, to her a jet pack os practical.) She was racing with him towards a sale on motorcycle parts when they pass an animatronic doll bowing and saying "Welcome". Banpei skids to a halt and stares, until Skuld makes him move again. The next day he sneaks out and goes to sit and watch the Welcome Doll for a while. While Skuld and Urd are spying on him, he steals the Welcome Doll away and positions himself in a secluded spot so that when she bows, she is kissing him.

Disgusted, Skuld tries to get into his programing, sure there is a glitch in his code or a bug... but he unhooks himself and runs away again. Skuld goes looking for him, but finds Belldandy. She tells Bell what's wrong, and asks her to power Banpei down if she sees him. Belldandy stops her and says that she doesn't think it's a glitch, that she thinks Skuld created something truly alive and "we all have parts of ourselves we only show to our special someone. Even you are like that with Sentaro." Skuld has trouble accepting that and runs off, trying to find him.

Finally she comes to accept it, and tries to buy the Welcome Doll, but the woman who owned her couldn't fix the voice record player any longer and trashed her. Skuld was dejected, Banpei was heartbroken... then Keiichi comes home from a late night at his job because his and Belldandy's boss Chihiro had found a busted up doll in the scrap yard she wanted him to fix. The Welcome Doll! Skuld goes with Bell and K1 to beg Chihiro for the doll, offering all the money she has, and accidentally making an inappropriate offer for how to pay the rest when she means that she would pay the debt. Chihiro says that she can't refuse a child and gives it as a gift. With a tremendous show of will, Skuld manages NOT to blow Chihiro up for calling her a child, and manages to thank her. We see the struggle as she does this for Banpei.

Skuld takes the Welcome Doll into her lab and works on it, while Banpei dances around like a loon in the hallway. Skuld finally emerges with the Doll following her. Unlike Banpei, the Welcome Doll (she gets the name Sigil later, so I'll just call her Sigil from here on out) starts with a full on personality, can walk like a human rather than lumbering, can speak, and has an expressive face. And, you know, hair. Banpei is THRILLED and tries to kiss her. She beats the mechanical snot out of him. "You forgot to program her to love him!?" Whoops.

Skuld keeps trying to get Sigil to give Banpei a chance, but the android sees him as a pervert and says that she will do absolutely anything else Skuld asks of her "Even self destruct" but she won't do that. Skuld's days become a mix of time with Sentaro, practicing her magic, and fixing Sigil and Banpei.

And then Doctor Morou shows up. He's a professor at NIT who is trying to make a robot that can walk. And he sees Banpei... and then Sigil. He might have mistaken Sigil for human if she hadn't launched a "ROCKET PUNCH!" at Banpei in front of him. After recovering from passing out, the not so good doctor kidnaps Sigil to disassemble her to learn how she operates. Banpei upgrades himself - including drawing angry eyebrows on with a sharpie - and takes off to find and rescue her. He is armed with every last bit of weaponry in Skuld's arsenal, which is not inconsiderable. Still, as violent as Skuld can be, she is still a Goddess, and she did build Banpei and for all practical purposes built Sigil. So even as Sigil claims they don't know Asmov's three rules of robotics, all the two 'bots do is give the professor a scare. Belldandy talks to him after, and he never bothers them again.

Intermixed with all of this (part of why chronological order is so tricky with Skuld) Skuld does get some time to read manga and is reading with Scarlet, both of them getting gushy over shojo manga. When Skuld sees Sentaro next after that, Scarlet gives her a small shove which leads to an accidental kiss. Skuld feels, mortified and throws things at Scarlet - including a model star ship enterprise - And tells her that if she ever does something like that again, she'll go back in her egg!

Whelp, Skuld finally braves herself and attends one of Sentaro's competitions. He thinks she didn't show, and once she saw him on the winner's pedestal, she was about to leave. But Angels are parts of the soulds of the Goddess they are bound to. Scarlet gave Skuld another push, and she stumbled out of the crowd and had to face him. Much blushing later, she headed home feeling better, with ice cream to share with Scarlet...who wouldn't come out when summoned. Skuld's sisters inform her that an Angel is obedient to her Goddess. Completely. They hold out Scarlet's egg to her. She complains that she didn't really mean it, that she loves her Angel and wants her back... but this is one of those hard lessons. She wears Scarlet's egg as a necklace, leading to some minor jealousy from Sentaro who thinks another boy gave her the necklace that she is suddenly wearing everywhere.

As things start to calm down with Sigil and Banpei as Sigil starts relenting and hating him less and less, Skuld spends more and more time on her magic, wanting desperately to be strong enough to support Scarlet again. She becomes more of a background character for a while as she focuses on magic and Sentaro, and we focus more on Keiichi, Urd and Belldandy. Until the Angel Eater.

A special sort of Goddess - a Valkyrie named "Lind the Binary Angel" appears to warn them that there has been some sign of a beast called an Angel Eater that has come to Earth. As they're the Goddesses living on Earth Lind decides to stay with them while she investigates, to protect them. She demands everything new to the household including their Demon cat, Velsper. (Velsper has a wonderful arc, and is an amazing character, but the only thing of note to this point for Skuld about his story is that she and Urd had to work together to stop his time virus in the Yggdrasil systems from destroying all three dimensional worlds. It is one of her finest moments as a debugger, but gets a half dozen pages in a book long arc.) She puts all of these things in stasis and settles in to watch over them. They try to draw her out, with marginal success. And then the Eater attacks. One by one the Goddesses fall. As their Angels are stolen from them - since all the Adult Goddesses are so closely bound to their Angels - they pass out, unable to be roused.

Keiichi has to take on an Angel himself, when it turns out Lind is called the "Binary" Angel because her Angel has a single wing.... because she has TWO Angels - the only Goddess we know of to have two - but they're two halves of a whole; each with a single wing. She pushes one into Keiichi when she discovers that the Angel Eater has been inside her the whole time, corrupting one of her own Angels, using its pain to draw the other Angels out and capture them. All of this was a plan of Hild's to see what would happen if Demon Familiars were implanted into Goddesses. (Hild is the CEO of H***, in charge of all the Demons...and Urd's mother. Not Skuld's mother, or Bell's, just Urd's.)

Skuld has to call her Angel...and it is the fact that she NEEDS Scarlet, rather than just wanting her, that allows her to summon her again - this time full sized and full powered. They manage to defeat the Eater, but not before the Familiar had been rooted inside Belldandy.

Eventually the Familiar after being held by Belldandy, and by Keiichi winds up inside Velsper, and Skuld and Urd have a great time harassing him to learn what her true name is. Once she is settled within Velsper, things more or less calm down for a time. Or so much as they ever do.

Skuld keeps working on her magic and spends more and more time with Sentaro and tinkering with Banpei.

Then one day, Sentaro starts acting oddly, and he keeps starting to tell her something, and showing her bike tricks instead. She finally gets it out of him. He's moving, he has no choice, to another country, and he is afraid he'll never see her again.

All series Keiichi works hard to keep anyone from finding out the girls are Goddesses. As Goddesses who aren't supposed to lie, (again though, Urd is a massive exception) none of them understand why. So Skuld - away from Keiichi - tells Sentaro that it'll be fine, they can see each other whenever they want, no matter where he is, because she's a Goddess. That ends the chapter. And the canon point I have her from os between this moment and the start of the next chapter. (I have not read beyond this point as I don't own any manga beyond it, sadly.)

Mini-Goddess
Also, there are the adventures of the mini-goddesses, but they aren't fixed in time, and are largely pointless, so unless there is an event reason... I generally ignore them for RP sake. Skuld and Urd and Belldandy tormenting Gan-chan is largely out of character for Skuld and Belldandy - Urd is almost exactly the same as ever - and it has nothing to do with the main story. It was published originally as a news paper comic strips, though new releases of the manga in omnibus format includes them. They are sort of like manga Omake.

For completeness sake - in MG, when Keiichi is away, supposedly the Goddesses get bored and shrink down to miniature size to spend time with a rat named Gan-chan. They have all gotten stuck inside an RPG together, fought bugs in the attic, and generally claim they're trying to be helpful while really tormenting him. That's about all there is of note in the manga version of MG.

Personality:
A lot of this will connect to what is above, I will try to cover new ground where I can and try to avoid repeating myself overmuch.

One of the biggest things to note about Skuld that isn't explained well enough above is her relationship with Urd, because it shows a side of her personality that comes out almost nowhere else, but it is also an aspect of her that is mostly put aside in times of crisis, and most of the above is times of crisis. But they are constantly in a state of competition, and have a love/almost-hate relationship. When they compete it is USUALLY over TV privileges. This starts out as sneaking around and trying to beat each other up, then becomes Urd's magic against Skuld's tech, then becomes playing board games for TV rights - usually Belldandy coming in while they're playing and cluelessly putting on her show, because no one is watching, so the TV is available, right? Neither Skuld nor Urd really ever tell her otherwise.

At one point, Keiichi finds an old TV someone threw away that works. He offers it to them, so they can each watch their shows, but they both tell him point blank that the fun isn't in watching the show, it's in winning the RIGHT to watch their shows. They are the very best of frenamies.

But it is super easy to get them to fight each other and forget the friend part. In Ninja-Master, the first ninja who Mara sends to stop the Goddesses poses as Skuld and destroys all of Urd's potions and medicines, claiming it is for her own good, then poses as Urd to destroy all of Skuld's machines, making the same claim before vanishing.

Skuld and Urd spend most of the rest of that story outside fighting. Skuld is throwing all her bombs at her eldest sister, and Urd is striking her with lighting. By the end of the chapter Urd is covered in "Dummy!" and they are both out of power and bombs and have resorted to grappling and hair pulling before finally realizing that what each of them is hearing the other accuse them of makes no sense.

On that note, of Skuld's temper... it does show with other people, especially when they treat her as a child, but no one gets as much of it as Urd does. Whatever Skuld does in temper, however... her bombs do a fair amount of damage to Urd, and to property; but only comic/cartoon level injuries to humans most of the time. Keiichi often gets more beat up, but never anything he can't recover from within a day or two, and he usually milks it to get sympathy from Belldandy "Your sisters play rough."

Skuld has eased up on trying to separate them... but she never will be fond of their relationship, and after Urd, he's her next favorite person to pick on. In Hand in Hand when a badly coded spell makes it so that Belldandy and Keiichi cannot stop holding hands, Skuld offers among her solutions the "Skuld basic matter separator" - a sharp knife. She has no intentions of using it, but she does scare K1 with it. She does, in that chapter, hit him with her debugging mallet when he wakes up and accidentally pulls Belldandy on top of him while yawning. "Up and at'em are we?"

Also during "Miss Keiichi" when Keiichi accidentally turns himself female from the belly up, Skuld convinces him and Belldandy that the only way he could go out looking like that is in a dress with hair and makeup done.

Skuld... temper aside, and she is getting better at controlling that as she matures, Skuld TRIES to be good, to be more like Belldandy, but sometimes she slips and is far more like Urd. Those two seem to be her measuring sticks for how to behave, and how to never behave. And she tries so hard to be more like Belldandy. There is a constant running gag of Skuld and either sister being too alike and Urd saying something, usually to K1 about "I can't believe we're related" to which the inevitable reply is "I dunno, makes perfect sense to me."

Sometimes Skuld will get so wrapped up in doing something, she will forget what her goal was. When she decided to help Keiichi prep for a job interview, she built a machine - Mr. Helmet, that would shock him when he gave a bad answer and advise him on how better to answer each practice question. She got so lost in the wonderful design... she forgot that Keiichi might not be able to answer every question perfectly, and he overslept his interview because he was up all night trying to get it off. During the Lord of Terror incident, the Lord of Terror, holding K1 hostage ordered Skuld to build a 12th dimensional scythe to cut the universal superstring. She did too good a job, lost in the beauty of the device she was building. Also, you know, if she had read the instructions on the Vaccine, like the Almighty told her to (twice) the Lord of Terror wouldn't have been able to get nearly so strong as he did. Her impulsiveness nearly got Belldandy and Keiichi (and Velsper, but she didn't know him yet) killed, but her quick thinking ultimately saved them all.

Also, sometimes, when working on a project... Skuld tends to forget that stealing is wrong by mortal standards. In Yggdrasil, there is almost no concept of possessions, though certain places and living beings are considered belonging to this person or that. So when she sets out to build something, very often the others around her will find that their electronics don't work...because she's gutted them. Countless TVs, Radios, computers, and bikes in and around the temple have been stripped for parts, as well as the karaoke machine and lighting board at an inn they stayed at with Mara when Mara and Urd had a Karaoke contest, and they needed a machine to judge the winner.

The only thing larger than Skuld's genius is her ego. It takes almost no effort to pump it up, and she will boast and crow till it gets her into trouble, as it often does. "I am a genius" is an often heard phrase. She hates to admit she could ever be wrong - even to herself, and gets furious when anyone criticizes anything she built or repaired. Urd often uses Skuld's ego to push her buttons - like with the bike incident she droned on about "Of course, if you can't do it..." when Skuld didn't want to try.

For a Goddess who fights Demons in the ultimate war for Market Share (Human Souls, more or less) Skuld is a complete coward when it comes to ghosts and hauntings. On TV or in manga is one thing... even the hint that there might be a ghost in the room has her hiding behind the scariest person she can find - usually Urd.

Everything Skuld builds has a self destruct. This mostly feeds back into the ego thing, if a machine fails her, she triggers the self destruct, rather than be faced with the proof that her design was imperfect. Banpei and Sigil both have Self destructs, and they are both somewhat alive. Sigil activated hers - canceled at the last second - to prove her determination and sense of self to Skuld. She would rather blow herself up then be forced to act like she loved Banpei. Banpei, when he and Sigil were trapped in a well put Sigil in his hat, lifted it over his head, then activated his self destruct count down so that the explosion would launch her upwards. (she pulled his power to cancel it at the last second, and they used team work to escape. That was when Sigil gave Banpei a kiss of her own free will, and things started to calm down...a little.)

Skuld is a Geek. Canonically she watches Star Trek as well as a show called Beyond 3000. She reads manga, and getting the latest issue is a concern for her whenever she has to return to Yggdrasil. She also loves games... but only if she can beat someone at them. She loves games against K1's mother somewhat less, but is determined to win against her at SOMETHING.

Urd, being her eldest sister and something of a brat, knows what the best punishment is when she is mad at Skuld - she forces her to build machines that do nothing useful at all. "Now build me one that does nothing but go in circles." This has reduced Skuld to tears, and she hates even being shown the machines she made that way. Her machines must be useful and elegant. She wants to fall in love with her own designs, and her ego usually lets her.

Easily distracted by ice cream. This was a thing in the manga even before it was known that ice cream helps her maintain her physical body on Earth. Belldandy and Keiichi vanished during the time when K1 was carrying the Familiar, and Skuld launched satellites she created to try and track them. She stopped, shocked at what she saw on the screen. Peorth and Urd demanded to know what she found, and she replied "there is an ice cream shop within five miles that I haven't been to!"

As said above, a Goddess draws her strength from Love, and Skuld's powers... she's still learning control. So sometimes when she is thinking of love, feeling it, or around someone who feels it... her magic slips out of her control. She might start floating - things or herself. Water might act oddly around her. The first is more likly, the second more extreme at her current power level, but might happen if her powers grow a significant amount in game, without her control growing to match.

Being called a kid or treated like a child is a hot button for Skuld's temper. She is working on it, but might still explode - or blow something else up.

Even with her magic growing, Skuld's first instinct when faced with a problem is to build a machine to solve it. Except, oddly, with Sentaro.

Singing - Spells are odd in this world. They are all code, first of all, but the Goddesses only bother with actual terminals while in Yggdrasil. Otherwise they do their magic in a number of ways, depending on the scale of the working, and the intent. Small things like levitating is accessing the code mentally and rewriting a thing that is on the ground into a thing above it. They can literally do spells of this level in their sleep. Not that they sleep often. A spell for opening a gate, or a warding, is usually done with a mandala, the code half accessed in their head, and half scribed into the form of the mandala. Even a .4 centimeter variance on a line or placement of a stone can change the meaning of a spell and/or crash it. Add a decimal point randomly to a line of code... that's more or less what an improper placement does. Higher level spells are sung. The harmonics of the voice, like the placements on a mandala have to be PERFECT. Skuld's sister Belldandy is said to have the finest voice in Yggdrasil, and Urd is really good too. We spend most of the series thinking Skuld doesn't sing, until the sirens chapter.... Skuld loves to sing, but it is one of the very few places where she feels insecure and inferior, so she generally doesn't. She's not usually involved in song level spells - though any lower level spell CAN be sung - but because her voice is not as strong, nor as pretty as her sisters', she generally avoids singing to avoid the comparison. However... as we see in the Sirens' chapter, she also has an amazing voice. It's only that she is comparing herself to Bell and Urd that she thinks she does not.

Powers/Abilities/Talents:
Code - this is the trickiest bit, other than her sustaining force. Skuld sees the world as it is, but also as code. I didn't think to put that into an application for a game she was in previously, and I was told I need to do that in the future, so here it is. Her spells, as I said above, are manipulations of the base code of the universe. While she is a master Debugger, most of that she needs to be physically in Yggdrasil for. She can only debug on earth with her mallet, by squashing the physical manifestations of the bugs. but all her other spells are low level coding. One level of spells not mentioned above are spells that take a mandala AND multiple parts to sing - Urd and Hild had to do that once to undo a virus Velsper loaded into Peorth. When I say everything is code, I mean everything, including the Goddesses themselves. Now, some code she can't touch. She's a debugger, not a hacker, and she knows how dangerous it is to try and mess with locked code without a proper terminal. For example, they couldn't unlock Velsper's virus in Peorth without Hild's help, because he (and he is a hacker) stole Goddess code and embedded Demon code within it. That was why none of the Goddesses could crack it themselves.

Sustaining force - On Earth when the connection with Yggdrasil crashes, Moon Rock bracelets sustain her. At regular levels of magic usage, she needs a new one every month. Urd at one point puts on six to do a single spell and pulls a ton of power all at once, but burns out all six at once. Ice cream helps sustain her, and gives her small short term boosts to power. She also has to sleep less often if she eats ice cream. In one game she was in, the Agents of the game created a sustaining force to hold her. In another every person gets these odd magical watches and hers sustains her. (she does not know this and is about to try to blow it up to open the case for parts. Whoops.) I am not sure what you would like it to be in this game. If you want to leave her connection to Yggdrasil open, what that means is:
That is her sustaining force, and anything that temporary kills the connection will cause her to start aging if she does not consume enough ice cream until the force is restored.
The Almighty can call her on the phone. Any phone at any time. It is his preferred method of contact. In theory, she can call Yggdrasil from any phone... but we have seen in canon where Belldandy could not contact Yggdrasil, during a special circumstance. So I could have her unable to call home, if you want.
She will get more powerful more quickly, but perhaps not noticeably so since there is no real measuring stick.
Any Mod who knows the canon is welcome to NPC the Almighty at any time to place restrictions on her (like sealing some of her magic is she is gaining too quickly) or give her tasks whenever you want. I think that would be a ton of fun!
In theory she would be able to water Teleport to go to Yggdrasil, however we have seen in canon times when that does not work, so it can be fine for that to not work in game! She'll just presume the Gate is visiting Earth again. (Yes, the gate between worlds has a "human" form and sentience....)

Water Magic - Every Goddess in the series has an element, though the word is used loosely in some cases (Peorth's element is flowers, for example), while they can work outside their element, they are strongest within it, and learn most easily spells within it. Sometimes this corresponds with their travel ability, sometimes not. Urd is, for example, Electricity, but moves through screens. Skuld is water. The only spell we see her using when she first arrives is water teleport. She can move from any body of water to appear out of any other, hovering over it until she choses to land. But her aim is HORRIBLE at the beginning, and while better now, she still often finds herself coming out of tea cups (hot and too small), mop buckets (EW EW EW EW EW), and Bathtubs (generally less fun for the person who was in the bath than for her, but she's usually disgusted too). At her canon point she was trying to master a water illusion spell that would let her create water butterflies that look real to fly around her. So far she can summon up a ton of water..... and like Kitara from ATLA....soak herself and everyone around her.

Basic cantrips - floating, levitating, flying, magically changing her outfits.

Some other oddly specific spells as well... like being able to make Sentaro's bike like new. We see from Goddesses who have mastered their magic that any magic below mandala level, and most singing level spells can be done solo. She is getting to that point, but not there yet. Also spells can clash with hilariously unpredictable results. Skuld and Urd both tried to fix the Temple at the same time once, and the result was some horrible weird mishmash thing of their personal aesthetics. Belldandy was unsealed at the time, and was able to put everything back.

Sealed magic - as of her canon point, Skuld has no seals, though this can change in game. The Almighty seals a Goddess to reduce how much power she has so she doesn't accidentally destroy the world. They are not allowed to unseal without permission - but there is nothing physically stopping them. Unsealing is a mandala level spell. Skuld helped Belldandy unseal even though they both knew it was forbidden, during Lord of Terror.

Nobel Scarlet - an Angel, once hatched, is a part of the Goddess' soul. Once fully bonded, the removal of an Angel renders a Goddess insensate and helpless. Scarlet boosts Skulds power a small bit when she is out normally, but an Angel's big assist comes with singing. Angels cannot speak, but they can sing code, so long as they are singing EXACTLY what the Goddess they are bound to is singing. So amplification more than assistance. If a spell needs two voices, the Angel does not count as the second. An Angel can physically lift and carry, and the connection between her and the Goddess can stretch, but it will never break. Angels, when out, are physically connected to their Goddess through her back, having no feet or lower legs of their own. And what an Angel feels, her Goddess feels. One of the tests in the challenge of the triple Goddess? Two Angels tickle each other mercilessly until one Goddess cracks and busts out laughing. Peroth's Angel shielded Peorth from a blast Velsper sent at her while they were fighting so that the damage was split between them. The Angel looked more damaged then Peorth did, but heals by resting within her. Angels, having wings, also offer Goddesses a way to fly without needing a spell, and a Goddess can call forth just the wings of the Angel.

Angels, in short, once bonded cannot be seperated from the Goddess without rendering her defenseless, cannot turn against her, are unflinchingly obedient and loyal, and are part of her very soul.

"YOU DUMMY!" Skuld has an odd power that seems unique to her. She can print words on people and surfaces when angry. In canon when Skuld is told to take the words off of Urd's face, she shrugged happily and said she didn't know how. I presume it fades with time, however. Otherwise Keiichi's face would say PERVERT forever.

Genius inventor. Until I found it recently in the updated Wiki, I did not know that any of her inventing was magic. With or without magic, she is a genius inventor, but I presume it is the magic in her hands that lets her create life - Sigil and Banpei - and create things that should otherwise be impossible based on the materials she has on hand. But ultimately, end of the day, Skuld can MacGyver nearly anything. She is brilliant, and she will not hesitate to tell you as much.

Banpei - I asked way back when the game was opening if she could have Banpei and was told yes but until motors were unlocked, he could not count as a vehicle, but I think they have been now?

Banpei is sentient and alive in some ways, but not a playable character on his own. He spends most of his time either patrolling or on standby mode unless Sigil is present or Skuld gives him orders. Every time he takes too much damage, his personality is erased and his memory banks may or may not be washed. (I probably won't do that, just because Sigil IS playable on her own, and I don't want to ruin my chances of playing with someone who apps her in a way they would expect, though his personality I may well shift several times.) He can self repair within limitations, so long as the damage is not too terrible, and self upgrade. He has a major design flaw in that the huge pull bar on his back is his on/off switch, so if you can get to his back, you can power him down. In case of Demons he has an auto backup that will turn him back on.

His anti-Demon mode is surprisingly his least violent lest devastating mode. In their world.... Demons cannot abide lucky charms. So he shoots good luck charms at Demons. Which honestly, is kind of hilarious.
Other weapons he theoretically can have (he usually rotates, almost never has them all at once) bombs, rocket launchers in three sizes, grabbing claws, and his jet packs. He has a motorbike mode (well a few different ones, depending on Skuld's mood).
He also has lots of tool attachments, so that he can help Skuld in her labs. And somewhere on him, inside his chest somewhere... will always be the sharpie he uses to draw expressions on his own face.
Randomly - Skuld has also at times built him a snow ball launcher (snowball fight with Urd), a rubber band launcher (Rubberband fight with Urd and Peorth that got to Temple destroying sized rubber bands) and other similar weird and seemingly random modes, like a boreing drill. Never an explanation as to why. He also has a sound system that plays music that can stop Mara or Urd in their tracks. (Both have a weakness to different kinds of music, Urd falls alseep, Mara can't stop dancing.)
Banpei is also trained at stick fighting, so when on guard duty is usually sweeping, so the broom can become a weapon.

She also seems to have an inexhaustible supply of Neo-skuld bombs tucked into her clothing - usually the front of her shirt. They explode on impact, but can also be used for a game of chicken to earn TV privileges, taking turns pulling wires until it explodes...

I think that should be everything? But since she's not human in the least, I'm never sure what needs to be said and what doesn't. I mean, she might have a Doublet - if one dies so dies the other - but I have no clue, she ages oddly, doesn't actually need food other than ice cream, doesn't get normal viruses, but could theoretically catch a computer virus...

[Seriously, what could she learn in a school that teaches children that she didn't already know. When they could do n-dimensional calculations using only an abacus, then they could come talk to her!]

Third Person:

Skuld checked her outfit in the mirror, not sure why she was bothering. It was cute, but... No. She wasn't dressing up for Sentaro. A flush colored her face as she tried to banish that thought. Besides, he wasn't even here. So there. Did that make sense? Probably not.

Frustrated she changed her clothes back into her pink and red Goddess outfit. She hadn't worn it in so long that it looked odd on her now. She spent most of her life in it, and then she came to Earth and now it was like looking at someone different.

She affixed her mallet to her back and sighed a bit, then she turned to the bot beside her. "Alright, Banpei. To do list." Not that he was going to keep track, but it was too quiet here. Without Urd watching her stupid dramas, and stupid Keiichi doing his homework, and Belldandy puttering around in the kitchen, and Sigil running from Banpei and Velsper being a brat, and Tamiya and Otaki, and Sora, and Megumi, and everyone else just randomly popping by.... She even missed Peorth.

"I need to find at least three all night ice cream shops. I need to find the local parts supply store and pick up a circular. I need to figure out how to get money since Keiichi isn't here to give me any. Not that he ever has enough. And then I need to build a machine to get us home. I know you miss Sigil."

Banpei drew a tear drop under one of his eyes with his sharpie.

"I know I know! I'll fix it, alright? Some how. What can't I do? I'm Skuld, after all. I am a genius, so I can totally do this. Right Banpei?"

The small robot nodded its head emphatically. Skuld reached a hand out and Nobel Scarlet came forth from her back, to clasp her hand. "I can do this, Right, Scarlet?"

The Angel nodded, giving her an encouraging smile. She squeezed her Angel's hand, then let Scarlet return to resting within her. She took a deep breath, and let it out. "Banpei, bike mode," she ordered.

The small robot shifted its legs like a partial transformer, putting its hat down to give her a seat, handlebars coming from its round head. Skulled patted the hard skull lovingly, then rode him out of the building she was in, looking around at this new place.

Belldandy would find her and bring her home, or the Almighty would open the gate. Of course Skuld would still build a machine, to show everyone she could have gotten home on her own, but she wouldn't need to. She was sure Belldandy would arrive to take her home. Any second now.

Any....second.... now....

Seriously, she would pop out of the mirror in front of that.... did that person have ice cream????

All thoughts of home forgotten for the moment, Skuld turned Banpei to go ask that person where they got ice cream from....

Finally, out of the 4 words, pick one: Chimes, lake, gravel, or sun? LAKE!

Powers/Abilities/Talents:
Skuld is the Goddess with the emblem of the future. She is still learning to use her magic, and will eventually have the full standard Goddess powers (Some of which she has in varying measures already):
Summoning and commanding her angel (she can summon Scarlet, she is still learning to command her. Scarlet is still small and weak.)
Singing spells (She needs a mandala and help for truly LARGE things, and she keeps losing control of even the smaller ones)
Seeing the base code of the world especially in music. (This came up exactly once in a game, and became an issue, because it's just how she sees the world, so I didn't think to mention it on the app. Skuld is one of the best Debuggers in Yggdrasil, which means she works closely with the computer that runs/monitors the world. She sees computer bugs as physical things that she can hit. She fought a Virus that was meant to stop time. So to her computer code is pretty well synonymous with life.)
Altering her physical self (Belldandy can shrink down to conserve energy. Or just to stay close to Keiichi, Urd splits herself into many mini-urds. Bell and Urd and Skuld all can go "mini-Goddess" though I have only ever used that in a game once, during and odd happenings event, because I generally refuse to acknowledge The Adventures Of The Mini-Goddesses.)
Clothing alteration
Levitation
Flight
Water magic (Bell has Wind, Urd has Fire, Peorth has..... roses.)
Water Teleportation.

Skuld is into Scifi and manga... So if your character is from there, she might know who you are!

If... this is okay with you. Please post below to let me know.

I know Star Trek is a big one in her world, as we see Data on TV once, we see her throw a model Enterprise at her Angel, and Sentaro quotes Trek while teaching her to ride a bike. So I'm concerned MOSTLY there.

So, yeah! If I don't know something, she probably wont, but the Pokemon Event in RC made me realize there should be a post about this. So there is that!

Also, some characters that I might not have thought about her knowing, I am willing to discuss if you think that would make for fun RP!

CHARACTER
Name: Skuld
Canon: Aa Megamisama/Ah! My Goddess!/Oh! My Goddess (Depending on the translation)
Age: Real age unknown, she looks about 14
Timeline: Chapter 218 - end. Right after she tells Sentaro she's a Goddess and lets him know it wont matter that he's moving, that nothing will change.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: This is only relevant if Banpei and Sigel are also accepted (see below) and seen as characters in their own rights, which is questionable.

Basically, Skuld built Banpei from scratch, though Belldandy gave him an emotions circuit. He does not speak, and he is loyal to Skuld. She is always upgrading him. He has a good heart, and a big one. The only times he has disobeyed her was to save a life once, and another time... when he fell in love with an automation that welcomed people to a small shop. Skuld reworked the talking doll into a bot, though this one - Sigel - could talk, and had emotions to start.

Skuld forgot to build her to be in love with Banpei, and she told Skuld that she would obey any order other than to love him, even to self destruct. Other than issues with Banpei, she is completely loyal and mostly obedient to Skuld and acts as a helper for her.

When with Skuld, they are mostly there for comedic value, assisting her with something, or providing motivation for her to deal with something. If they do not count as characters on their own, there will be no playercrest issue.

If they do count as characters on their own and I am granted them, they will be playing on this journal, and any interactions will be handled all in one post. So they will not count for post counts for AC. I know another game ruled them as separate characters, which is why I am putting this here and leaving it to your judgement in this case. I would play Skuld without them, but would rather play her with them.

Again, Banpei cannot even speak, and when with Skuld, Sigel tends to be clingy and somewhat subservient, but Belldandy has said that both are alive, in canon, and they both do have personalities and the occasional rare adventure on their own. (Though those almost always end with Skuld involved and/or repairing them)

Personality:

Skuld's personality? Just ask, and she'll tell you. She... is a genius! And she knows it. Very much so. Her ego might be a bit of an issue for her, where by a bit I do mean "This thing that keeps getting her - and the people around her - in trouble. Because she is a genius, she tends to presume that every modification she makes, everything she builds, is automatically the best. Therefore she will modify other people's tech without asking if she could... and without warning them that she did it. When something goes wrong, clearly it's the operator's fault, because she... you guessed it... is a genius. Her plans and mods are flawless.

Well, the thing is, she is actually a genius, but she's not AS good as she thinks she is. No one could be. So people who care about her often wind up dragged into an uncomfortable place where they know that acknowledging something she did well will puff her ego too much... but how do you not admire some of what she has pulled off? She has created living androids - Banpei and Sigel - she built a baseball bat that could not miss hitting a home run, and she builds a seemingly infinite amount of explosives, that she can store down the front of her shirt without anyone ever seeing the bombs resting there.

But she is also.... childish in a lot of ways. She'll be the first to tell you she isn't a kid, but the proof is in the terribly explosive pudding. When she built the home-run bat, the pitcher called her a kid, she got tagged out easily because she argued with him rather than running the bases. At one point she builds a high powered selective "ultra-mag" to form sand from the beach into a "sand doll" that looked like a cute girl in a sailor fuku, but that got heavier and heavier the further Keiichi carried it. She might have fooled him, but the magnetic pull grabbed his keys from his pocket. When she realized she was busted - he stuck the keys to the doll's forehead, she pressed the self destruct on her remote control. Keiichi's response pretty well sums her up. "Skillfully superb execution, amateurish ending. Must be Skuld." That pretty much is who she is at this point. Brilliant, but she'd rather blow things up than be caught having built something imperfect.

But Skuld is starting to grow up. A Goddess' power is fueled by love, and she is just coming into her powers... and though she'll deny it, she is starting to fall in love with a human boy, Sentaro. The way they met is a good example of Skuld and who she is becoming as she grows up. She had been fascinated with how much fun Belldandy seemed to have riding her bike, Skuld tried to examine it as a machine to see how it worked. Bell offered to teach her, and as she started to back off, Urd played on her pride and tricked her into a bet. Now Skuld HAD to win, she HAD to master the bike. Her first idea was to build elbow and knee pads that would keep her upright. IT goes poorly. "Not quite right for this situation" is Skuld's response. Not that her tech could be flawed. So she decides to add out trigger wheels, until Keiichi points out that's like a kids' bike. That ended THAT plan. She then decided to add a gyroscope, and a motor, until it's pointed out to her that it would no longer count as riding a bike if she did all that.

She finally agrees to try it the "proper" way. And she falls. Hard. she's convinced that big sister Belldandy just wasn't fast enough to catch her. She tries again. And falls again. Again. Again. Until finally she has to admit that it isn't that Bell can't help her, it's that she wont. Certain that Belldandy has done the unthinkable and has betrayed her, is refusing to help her, Skuld quits and runs away. Belldandy, of course, explains to Keiichi why; explains that Skuld can't access her magic because she always depends on her machines or other people, that she needs to learn to depend on herself.

Off sulking, Skuld sees a bout - Sentaro - doing a bike trick that sends him flying into the air above her. He sees her, and is stunned enough that he messes up his landing and crashes. Skuld rushes over and asks "is it okay?" when he answers about how he's doing she points out that she meant the bike. Even while admitting she hates bikes, she can't help but fix his. He points out that a bike is fun because it CAN wipe out, and when she admits to not getting it, he makes her get on his bike while he stands on the back and puts his hands over hers to stabilize. He teaches her how to ride a bike that way, and when he thinks she has it... he just jumps off the back. And she realizes... that she's riding. Without thinking that this might be wrong she "borrows" his bike to show Belldandy that she can now ride. But even as she's feeling so proud of herself we get from her a "I knew I should have installed an engine" when the hill threatens to be too much. But ultimately she finds Bell, they return Sentaro's bike, and she gets a new bike of her own. But more, she learns a lot about depending on herself. It's a start.

Skuld also... has a temper, as one might have gathered from all I've said so far. Not counting her water teleportation, which she has from the moment she joins the series, her first "magic" is the ability to write insulting words on people with sheer temper. She mostly hits her sister, Urd, with this.

Skuld tries to focus that temper on defending the people she loves, though, and channels a lot of it into building weapons systems the guard against the Demon Mara. That was why she built the first full Banpei, the one that is the Banpei we know and love today, and yet isn't.

It's confusing, and involves a fire, and an internal memory wipe from a critically low battery. It takes him a long time to rebuild his emotions chip after that, and the personality that comes after is a new one. Similar, but different enough to be as a new person.

Like her sister Urd, Skuld also has... focus issues. This gets worse, not better as she gets older. When they are trying to get Velsper to let them know the name he chose for his familiar, she and Urd both lost track of why they wanted Velsper and they both tried to just... catch him. When they were hunting for Bell and Keiichi, Skuld sets up satellite surveillance, then gives a started cry, making Urd fear the worst. The reason for the cry? Skuld found a new ice cream place near the temple!

Skuld hates to build useless machines. She likes to build machines that DO something productive. Thus Urd's favorite punishment for her is to make her build machines that do nothing of value whatsoever. "Now build me one that does nothing but goes in circles!"

Urd and Skuld have a complex relationship, they love each other, but show it very.. oddly. Mostly by being violently competitive with each other. As much as Skuld would claim that Urd had no hand in how she grew up, the fact is that much of her reliance upon brute force destructive impulses probably came from Urd. The two get into constant arguments, usually ending with them outside, Urd trying to hit Skuld with lighting bolts, and Skuld retaliating with bombs. This may even be why most of Skud's devices (actually, the probability is that it is ALL of her devices) have a self destruct option. Their main competition, however, seems to be over the television. Keiichi even finds them a second TV once, and they both tell him that the point isn't watching TV, it's beating someone else for the right to watch TV.

Skuld has a passion for ice cream, and for a while, we never quite know why. We know that Bell loves tea and Urd loves booze, but it's not until the Yggdrasil main computer crashes that we see these things have an actual effect. Since the emblems on their foreheads control their connection to the system, and the programs that keep their bodies functioning on Earth, they all started to... alter. Belldandy couldn't maintain her full size, not awake. Urd, the norn of the past kept regressing into childhood, and Skuld, the norn of the future sped ahead towards adulthood. But when Skuld ate ice cream, and Urd drank booze, these effects slowed. So there may be a reason that Skuld seems to do her best thinking while munching down a tub of ice cream. She can eat it at an alarming rate without getting ill.

Skuld is the youngest of the three daughters of the Almighty, and magically the weakest, though she shows strong potential. Some how this lead not only to the fierce competition with her eldest half-sister Urd, but also to her being so clingy about the middle sister, Belldandy. Skuld goes back and forth on if she hates Keiichi or not, and the tipping point is usually how close he's getting with Bell. She usually leaves Banpei on attack mode when she has to go back to Yggdrasil - did I mention she's the best system debugger they have and that everything the Goddesses do and are runs on that computer? - so that if Keiichi tries to kiss Belldandy, he will be attacked. When their hands get stuck together because Bell programed a spell when she was drunk and can't figure out how to decompile it, Skuld suggests "Skuld's basic mater separator" which is a sharp kitchen knife. It's clear she does not intend to cut Bel.....

If not for how close he gets, and blaming him for "stealing" her away, she would actually like him. He's one of the few humans who will test her machines, he doesn't get TOO angry at her when she "borrows" the inside of his TV, or computer, or radio, or whatever it was that had the parts she needed.... But he tries to take up all of Big Sister Bell's time, so he must be stopped.

I think one of the best things about Skuld... is how complex her feelings are for the people she loves, and how complex her ways of handling those emotions can be. Even with Sentaro who is new to her, in so many ways... she complains that he shows up every day, but she's glad that he does too. She uses how she feels for him to help her learn her magic, but she doesn't understand him. They argue, they bicker, they hang out and chat,t hey push at each other...

But Skuld doesn't feel things in a single flat dimension. Even Mara and Hild aren't just shoved in the "enemy" column, never to be considered again. She gets that they're people too, and that they have dimensions and facets, even if she isn't consciously aware of it. So even though she can come off as abrasive, especially to those she loves, it's never all of what she feels.

And stop treating her like a kid!

New plan requires the rebirth of Nobel Scarlet to save the day. Skuld learns that the power of an angel, and the ability to hold one comes not from wanting her, but from NEEDING her.
Sentaro informs Skuld he has to move, she informs him it wont matter, because he has a bike... and she's a Goddess.

Abilities:
#1 debugger in Yggdrasil - Like Urd, there is not a computer system Skuld can't figure out, and she's insanely good at fixing them.
Genius inventor - With very little in the way of suplies, Skuld can build almost anything she can imagine. Contrary to what she'll tell you, however, these inventions do not always work as intended... or at all. Almost all of them will eventually blow up.
Ice cream stamina - Who needs sleep when there are 31 flavors?
Water Teleportation - She can move through bodies of water. She rarely ends up where she means to be, often with comical results.
Nobel Scarlet - She can summon her angel. In theory Scarlet can help her with spells/singing. In practice she mostly just holds and carries things, trying to be helpful. She's a very small little angel.
Neo Skuld bombs - She seems to have an unlimited supply of these, and apparently has a pocket inside her shirt that is bigger on the inside. This is never explained. These generall do damage that is more comedic than painful, though they can bust buildings and structures.
Small magics - she is learning small magics and spells. As of now she can levitate really small things, make a flower bloom... things like that. While attempting to make butterflies of water dance in the air, she accidentally soaked herself as if she were Sokka and Katara both in season one of Airbender.
As she grows - If she continues learning while in RC, she will eventually learn larger magics, like flight and other means of teleportation. That... will probably take a while.
Secure phone line - unless the Yggdrasil system has completely crashed, it is impossible for her to pick up a phone and not be connected to someone there if she wants to be. However she almost never likes what she hears, and in RC? It'll be the Almighty telling her to stay put. She will not be happy. The Almighty can also call her on any phone she happens to be near.

Network/Actionspam Sample:
[The camera would come up on the young Goddess in her new workshop. She was pretty horrified by the lack of tech here, but by the Almighty, she was going to help upgrade the city. And she could do it too. Why? Because she is a genius! Hence this open video. She is facing the screen, the emblems on her forehead and cheeks half hidden by her dark hair.]

"Okay, people, I'm Skuld and I'm going to help fix things up around here! So bring me anything that's broken or can't be used any more. If you want me to build something, bring me parts... and ice cream! I can build anything with the right parts. Why? Because I am a genius!"

[She grinned brightly at the camera and tried to subtly use her magic to turn the watch off. And failed. She tried to hold the smile in place as she tried again. Again. Again. The smile wobbled. She tried thinking about how she floated that nut for the first time. This wasn't heavier, pressing the button. So how had she done that...? Oh... Right... Sentaro was talking about loving his bike....]

[The feed cut off just as her eyes went wide and she started to flush from the memory, and the power that even the thought of the word love had on her heart.]

Prose Log Sample:

Skuld stretched her arms over her head, then rolled her shoulders and her neck. Ice cream, check. New clothes, check. Tools, check. She was ready to roll.

Belldandy had to be here too. That's what she realized. This had to be another test for he Goddess qualifications. Maybe they even wanted to bump her to Goddess first class already! Urd had failed the test twice now.. if Skuld could do it before her...

Scarlet slid out from Skuld's back and gave her a thumbs up. Skuld grinned. She needed the encouragement. And if her Angel, who was part of her, believed in her, that meant that she believed in herself. She could do this! She could find Belldandy!

Scarlet slipped into Skuld's back again and out of sight as Skuld headed out the front door. She touched the necklace that Sentaro gave her and felt something warm build in her chest. She could do this! She was Skuld! Goddess Second class limited! She was a genius. She was....

Since when was there an ice cream shop THERE?

All else was forgotten as Skuld rushed inside, long dark hair flapping behind her like a flag....

Banpei and Sigel -

I am not sure if they will count as things/Familiars like Kaylin's dragon-thing, and thus be allowed as extensions of her, of one will be allowed, if nether will be allowed, of they can be allowed as separately apped characters sharing her journal, or how you want to handle it. So I am including a mini app for each of them below. I can elaborate on them if possible.

If they are allowed in, please let me know if they are coming in as things/familiars or if they will need their own AC. I would prefer them as things/familiars, since very often they are more window dressing than characters in their own right. However, since they do have some sentience and emotions, I can understand if they are considered as separate characters. Again, wasn't sure how they would be handled, so erring on the side of overkill and giving you info for them both as if they were characters.

If they will be characters, please let me know if they need RP samples. I am fine with them not coming in at the same time as Skuld if this is the case, though I would not like them in without her, if that makes sense. They're kind of pointless, to me, without their creator.

CHARACTER
Name: Banpei
Age: That's what he looks like in his base form. Age is somewhat of a non-issue with him
Timeline:Same as Skuld
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: See my explanation under Skuld.

Personality:

Banpei cares. He loves. He feels strongly. Unable to speak, however, he tries to express himself through pantomime, action, and by drawing on his own face with sharpie. He tries to protect those he cares about and the only person or thing that means more to him than Skuld is Sigel. HE is in love with her and cannot comprehend that she does not love him.

Or rather, he does not want to. His weakness will always be rushing off to the rescue of one of those two, and that he will sacrifice himself for another life.

That's about it. He is alive, he as a personality of sorts, he has emotions, but he's fairly simple and straight forward. He gets ticked when someone hurts Sigel, and is willing to self destruct if that's what it takes to save her.

Background: Skuld built him to fight against Mara, but powering him up used up all the power in the house, so she kept shutting him back down. Belldandy felt sorry for him, so she gave him more power of his own and the ability to feel. Skuld kept improving him, and used him to trap the Urd clone. They put the two halves of Urd back together, leaving them the skin of the clone.

Told he looked too odd to go shopping with Belldandy - whom he had fallen in love with - he stayed behind. Until he saw she had forgotten to take the bento she had made. so he pulled on the fake Urd skin and went to find them, doing good deeds wordlessly along the way.

Bento delivered, his police scanner picked up a report about a fire. He flew off to help, and sensed a life form inside that the fire department missed. He flew into the fire, despite Skuld telling him not to... to rescue the cat. The effort took the last of his energy and the hear fried the Urd skin.

He lost his memory files, and his emotional circuit went dormant.

Skuld continued to improve on him, build him attachments and modes, and eventually the emotions circuit self repaired. The memory files never returned, so he built new memories and new emotions.

He fell in love with a beautiful robot girl that said "Welcome, thank you for coming". He stole her away for a date and kissed her, and watched, wide eyed, as her owner removed her top to repair her. He hid those memory files from Skuld. The first real betrayal. When she tried to "repair" the error... he ran away.

But Skuld was a smart girl, and she brought the doll home and gave her the ability to walk, and talk and think....

He leaned in for a kiss... and took a rocket fist to the face.

Still, true love would not be deterred...

Abilities:
Skuld built him first as a weapon. As he is a creature of Skuld's he DOES have explosives and rocket launchers, but most of his weapons were built to combat Mara...who has 2 weaknesses, Disco music and good luck charms. Most of his ammo are various good luck charms, and he has a loud speaker in his hat that plays nothing but discos... and a few Austrian polkas just in case Urd gets on Skuld's nerves.

He has a bike mode, so that Skuld can ride him, and rocket boosters in his feet so he can fly. He can self upgrade by adding parts Skuld has already built for him, and do a limited amount of self repair.

He also has a lot of internal sensors and arrays. He can sense a demon even through walls and roofs, pick up radio and UHF frequencies, and gains a lot of information from a momentary scan.

Network/Actionspam Sample:

[He turned on Skuld's watch and held up a crudely drawn picture of Sigel he did in sharpie. He moved the picture closer to and further from the watch, so that everyone could see it. Then he set it down and lifted a paper with a big sharpie question mark on it. Then he set that down and drew a tear drop under one of his eyes and a frown over his mouth. He put his "hands" together imploringly and tilted his head to look pathetic. Then he turned off the watch.]

Prose Log Sample:

(not sure I can get 250 for him, without Skuld or Sigel, but I'll do my best.)

He looked at the sleeping form of Skuld, the Goddess who made him, and pulled the blanket around her more firmly. Internal thermometers registered that it will get cold as the night progresses.

That done, he went to find Sigel. She had to be here somewhere. He looked in every old well he could find. He looked under bushes. He went back inside and looked to see if she was hiding on Skuld's head. No where. He couldn't find her anywhere.

He rolled around outside, drawing tear drops on his face, miserable.

He felt a hand on his power switch on his back. A familiar hand. A hand he loved but not there. He felt the violent twist as Sigel shut him down, and felt himself lower to the ground with a decompressing hiss as his systems powered off, leaving him helpless once again.

But she had touched him. Willingly. So he didn't regret it for a moment.

CHARACTER
Name: Sigel
Age: She looks about 10 or so. Sigel
Timeline: Same as Skuld and Banpei.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: See my answer above, on Skuld's app.

Personality:

Like Banpei, her personality is fairly simple and basic, though with the ability to speak, she can express herself more clearly. She loves Skuld with all her heart and will do anything for her... anything except love Banpei. She finds him creepy and gross and disgusting.

"How would you feel if you woke up someday and found someone claiming he was in love with you?"

And yet, when she's in trouble, it's not Skuld she thinks of, not Skuld she expects to save her... it's Banpei. But every time he does something to impress her a little, she discovers something he did that makes her hate him more. Like when he saved her from the well and was willing to self destruct to do so. She came up with a better way for them both to escape, despite being damaged, and she even kissed his cheek after, impressed. Until Skuld checked her batteries and discovered they were at full. Which meant Banpei recharged her after they died. Which means he undressed her. Which means she hates him worse than ever.

She does not have to call "ROCKET PUNCH" when she shoots her fists at people...but she enjoys doing it. She also seems to enjoy "running" from Banpei by skating along the walls and ceilings, and hiding on Keiichi's head.

Belldandy said she was alive, and gave her her name, and she keeps the fact of her life, and her name close and dear to her mechanical heart.

Background:

Her first awareness is of Skuld working so hard for so long to bring her to life. Then she came out and everyone praised her, and praised Skuld... until that freak Banpei tried to kiss her. EW GROSS!

Then began the endless war between her and Banpei.

During all that they got kidnapped by a professor at Keiichi's school who was obsessed with learning how she walked. He was a pervert and a creep, and worse than getting caught by him was that she had hoped for Banpei to save her. Which he did.

Hard to hate him after that, but she was still going to try!

Abilities:
Rocket skates, charging and data ports on her chest, rocket fists. She seems to be able to slightly defy gravity. Self destruct mechanism. And unlike Banpei, she can talk and alter her expression without marker.

Network/Actionspam Sample:

[She made sure that Skuld was asleep before sneaking off with her watch. She'd seen Skuld use it, and knew that it could contact lots of people at once. So she turned it on.]

[The camera would show a young girl, she looked to be about 10, maybe a little older, in pig tails and a cute dress, hands on her hips.]

"Okay, so there is a total creepy pervert guy chasing me around! Skuld doesn't want him destroyed, but he wont leave me alone. And I'm not allowed to blow him up. Does anyone out there want to come and be Skuld's friend so you're here to protect me?"

[She caught a glimpse of familiar red coming around the hall. With a small little girl scream she fled the room on roller skates, dropping the watch to the ground.]

Prose Log Sample:

She turned Banpei off! HEE! What fun! Skuld was asleep, so wouldn't notice for HOURS! She was free! for hours and hours she was free. No Banpei! It was wonderful!

Good Goddess it was boring. She considered waking up Skuld, but then Skuld would want to wake up the idiot, and that's no good. Well, maybe if she got ice cream for Skuld, then she'd be so distracted, she'd forget about old round hat.

Except Skuld ordered her not to leave on her own.

She flopped down, sitting in front of Banpei, staring at him, trying to decide just how bored she was....

    Canon Character Section:
    History:

Skuld is the Goddess/Norn of the future. She is the youngest of three Half-sisters and is just beginning to come into her powers. She is a genius, and even at a young age is the best Debugger Yggdrasil has. Since the Yggdrasil computers control everything about how the Goddesses interact with the various dimensions, her job is both difficult and important.

A few years back, her Big sister Belldandy, whom she adores went out on a mission with the Goddess Technical Helpline to grant a wish. The mortal, one Keichi Morrisato (Or Keiichi depending on the translation) made an unprecedented wish, that "a Goddess like you stay with me forever". the wish was accepted by the system, and Belldandy stayed on Earth.

A short while after that, Urd, Skuld's eldest sister snuck down to Earth to get Keiichi to man up and go further with Bell than just holding her hand and blushing like a fool. Skuld tried to convince herself that she was glad to see the back of Urd, but since their father, the Almighty, was a busy being.... that left her all alone. (While we find out about Urd's mother, as of where I stopped reading, we never learn about Belldandy or Skuld's mothers)

She tried to hold out, but for all she complains when people treat her like a kid, she kind of is one, and being left without her sisters was too much. So she seized the first excuse she could - the potential for bugs around Keiichi, to get Belldandy to come home. Of course, he had the potential because there were so many Goddesses there, so once Skuld arrived, the bugs she predicted came to the fore.

But she's the best little debugger in the Heavens for a reason. So she grabbed her hammer and started smashing the bugs. (Yes, Yggdrasil system bugs can manifest physically in the third dimensional plane, why ever do you ask?)

She quickly built goggles to let the others see the bugs so they could help her debug the system, each in their own way. She tried to convince Belldandy that the only way to be rid of the bugs was to come back to Yggdrasil. She wasn't lying, it was. But when Belldandy refused... Skuld INVENTED another way. The machine is still sitting in the temple (aka the Morisato house, because they live in a temple), chugging along, eating bugs. Though they did make it so he is no longer a singularity and no longer generates as many.

Skuld found excuses to stay on Earth. It wasn't so much that she was avoiding work as that she wanted to stay around Belldandy. And as much as Urd wanted K1 and Bell to get closer, Skuld worked to keep them apart.

She found her first true rival in Keiichi's sister, Megumi, when the girl DARED to criticize her redesign on Keiichi's bike. (He hadn't asked her to fix his motorcycle, but then when does one ever have to ASK Skuld to upgrade a machine?) When Megumi proved to be right, Skuld complained that Keiichi just didn't drive it right. She skirts, as seen here, dangerously close to lying. Only the fact that she genuinely believed that was the only reason her design could fail kept her on the right side of honesty.

Jumping Chonology here, because there are arcs that cross each other. So first - building Banpei:

Skuld built the first Banpei. Then the second. Then the third.... she kept going until she built her best one ever... even if she did kill all the power in the temple to switch him on. Every time she switched him on.

Unbeknownst to her, Bell added a circuit that meshed with her creation and made him more... well... alive. Skuld was sure that his emotions were a bug, and wanted to fix him, but was convinced not to by Bell. But because of his emotions, he dove into a dangerous situation, with no regard for his own safety, to save a cat. The damage he took, and the energy expended blanked his memory files and, as far as they knew, deactivated his emotions chip.

Rather than building a new one, Skuld pointed out that it wouldn't be like he had returned, and she was depressed for a while, though she did repair what she could. Eventually she got around to upgrading and improving him again, and without quite meaning to... she made it so his emotion circuit started working again, though she was right in that much of his original personality was gone. In his new personality, he happily accepted orders from Skuld to keep Keiichi and Belldandy apart whenever Skuld had to go back to Yggdrasil. He also was very good at his primary function - the reason she built him in the first place - to fight the Demon Mara.

Most inventions Skuld made after Banpei started to awaken again had some aspect of him - usually his face, and nearly always had Banpei in the name somewhere. "Banpei deep six" for example was an aquatic craft with submarine capabilities. She did a lot to improve the original Banpei however, and could alter him with ease. One of the best modes, for her, was his motorbike mode, because she still had not mastered water teleportation, and needed to get around.

And this worked just fine... until Banpei fell in love. Again. The first time had been before the wipe, when he had fallen in love with Belldandy. That was one of the things that never came back when his new personality surfaced. This time he fell in love with an automaton, a little girl doll that just bowed and said "Welcome, thank you for coming."

By the time Skuld realized THAT was why there were suddenly files in his memory locked so that she couldn't see them, and that he kept racing off when her back was turned... the woman who owned the welcome doll had thrown her away. Thankfully Keiichi's boss, Chihiro, had found her in the dump and had taken her back to the shop.

Skuld managed not to blow up at her - or blow her up - for calling her a little kid when she gave her the doll. Skuld bought her home and got to work on giving her an actual personality, and the ability to walk on her own. She came out, impressing everyone, except that when Banpei went to kiss her, she delivered a rocket punch to his face.

Skuld.... forgot to program her to love him. Whoops. Instead the doll, later named Sigel by Belldandy, adored Skuld, but threatened to self-destruct if ordered to love Banpei. Skuld often has to break up fights between them as Banpei chases her, refusing to take no for an answer and Sigel runs hot and cold, accepting him one moment, running from him the next, then beating him to spare parts in the next. Skuld spends a lot of time fixing them, as well.

    Sentaro and her powers awakening-

Because lets face it, Keiichi might have accidentally started the process, but Sentaro is why she can keep growing and learning. K1 had been convinced, by Urd, that if he and Bell professed their love under the full moon at the Rock of Three Sisters, that they would be bound together forever. It took him all day and most of the night to work up his nerve.

Skuld, of course, went to break it up (after a sand doll that looked like a cute girl but was really sand held together by a super mag accidentally pulled his keys from his pocket, proving herself a fake, failed to stop him.... As did her blowing the sand doll up and all the booby traps along the way. "Geeze, I didn't expect him to trip all of them, even I'm starting to feel sorry for him.") and arrive Via water Teleportation JUST as Keiichi said "I love you". The words hit her and hit hard.

She thought she was falling in love with him. He thought she was having her first time of the month. Hilarity ensued as she decided to ask him on a date to prove to herself that she hated him. Urd thought that Skuld was falling for him and tried to break them up, but Keiichi is a good guy and kept protecting her. More, Belldandy realized exactly what was going on and worked to protect them, even deflecting the arrow meant to break the strongest of hearts. Urd actually thought she was doing it for Skuld's own good, surprisingly enough.

But it wasn't her falling in love at all. It was her powers awakening, and as Belldandy teaches her, a Goddess' powers are fueled by love. That was why the word, said with such honest affection, started her feeling so oddly. So of course once Skuld realized that was what it was, and released her new power (she stamped the word "Fool!" on Urd's face) she felt relieved and wonderful. The exact line was "Keiichi, I hate you forever" except she doesn't. I presume the fact that she can and does lie once in a while, and skirts the truth sometimes will come up if she ever wants to test for Goddess First class. To quote Urd the first time she took it "They said no Liars". But it is said in canon that the lying ban comes AFTER the promotion, I just don't know if she'll be able to handle it.

So, she was able to print FOOL, STUPID, IDIOT, MORON, and eventually PERVERT (Keiichi got the honor of that one) but not do much else. But Skuld had always had less magic than her sisters, and so had always relied on her machines to do for her what magic did for them. IT was a big part of what drove her to start building them in the first place. So the slow pace didn't get her down, and life went on.

One day she watched Belldandy on her Bicycle, and saw the look on her face. Skuld wndered if a bike was really that much fun, and Belldandy encouraged her, and she and Keiichi tried to teach Skuld to ride.

First Skuld built air jet knee and elbow pads to act as stabilizers. That... did not work. So she decided to add out trigger wheels - until Keiichi said "Oh, you mean like one of those little kids bikes?" That was the end of THAT idea. Then she realized that what it needed was a gyroscope and a motor. It was pointed out to he that if she does all that... it's not a bike anymore.

So she decided to try it without machines... just... try it.

And she fell. Again. And Again. And Again. And she couldn't understand why Belldandy, who was standing right there, who had ALWAYS been there for her wouldn't help her, didn't catch her, kept letting her fall.

Hurt, betrayed, and frustrated, Skuld announced that she was quitting, and ran away. Belldandy said - though not where she could hear it - that this was part of why Skuld still could not use her magic. She was always relying on machines or others, that she had to learn to find her own way, her own determination on the far side of suffering.

While sulking and fuming on a hill not far off, a shadow passed over her. She looked up and... there was a boy - Sentaro, about the age she appears, on a bike.... She watched as he messed up his landing. She rushed to where he fell and asked if the bike was okay, then set about fixing it for him. When he found out she hated bikes because they hurt you when you fall, he shared his own philosophy about bikes.... and taught her how to ride in a unique and rather dangerous way. He also proved that he is a geek like she is (we get a star trek reference from him here, and later we see her throw a model of the Enterprise). With his help she gets it, and she rides back to Belldandy on his bike, to show off.

She winds up returning his bike and getting her own, and she goes back to working on her magic, trying to remember how good it felt when she learned to ride, at how amazing it was to feel the power and speed she generated without a motor. She focused on that, she tried.

And Sentaro started coming over every day to show her new tricks. She hastily hid the nut she was trying to levitate behind her back as she watched him jump his bike onto a flat rock. She tried to focus on her lesson, instead of watching him, to the point where he asked if she had heat stroke. But between his nearness, and his saying about his bike that he just "loves" it... suddenly the nut started to float. She grabbed his hands, dancing happily that she did it, though he had no clue what it was she did.

Love... that was the key to her power, and her power grew at about the same pace her crush did. Since he was clearly crushing on her as well... she learned a lot of new tricks fast. Though she still... has a ways to go.

The moon rock bracelets and the crash of Yggdrasil -

So.... at some point early on to her time on Earth... Urd was supposed to go home as a punishment for all her lying. Well, that and the fact that she wasn't supposed to be there in the first place. So... she was told she'd have to go back. For longer than Keiichi would be alive. The other two sisters and K1 hatched a plan to build a warding mandala spell to keep Mara out that might just so happen to have the side effect of keeping the gate from being able to open.

Mara, of course, was already on the inside, and foiled their plan at the last moment. The gate opened, but then a rock got moved and the mandala fried the gate. And crashed the Yggdrasil system. All three of them got chewed out on the phone by the Almighty for that.

Well, the system crash let Urd stay, but it had other repercussions. Belldandy lost cohesion in her physical body and had to take a smaller form. Urd started regressing in age - though alcohol helped slow the effects, and Skuld.... started to age up. Quickly.

They were desperate for a solution, and the Almighty slipped them an answer, using a human fortune teller as a medium, Rocks of the Moon. So Keiichi researched the geological composition and creation of the moon and after some partial failures, replicated moon rocks, turning them into bracelets for the girls. The more bracelets they wore, the more power they had, but they had to be changed out every month. They are still seen to be wearing them after the system is restored, though not much is said about them.

Nobel Scarlet, the force amp, and the angel eater -

Really, Urd, if you did not want Skuld to play with the Angel's egg, why ever did you leave it in your room, on a pedestal, with a sign that read. "Do not touch, this means you, Skuld. Thou shalt not even look at this." OF COURSE Skuld was going to play with it. Of course... swallowing it had been an actual mistake.

Skuld is considered too young, and not yet powerful enough to carry an Angel, but at first when Nobel Scarlet is born to the young Goddess, she seems harmless enough, and helpful, helping Skuld carry and fetch small tools, and reading manga with her. Skuld is thrilled, especially as it seems like Urd doesn't have an Angel herself, for some reason.

Scarlet, having read the manga that Skuld has read, and knowing Skuld's crush on Sentaro as she is part of Skuld's soul, she pushes Skuld during an awkward moment, causing her to kiss Sentaro's cheek. Freaked out, he runs away, and Skuld screams at Scarlet (And this is where she throws the enterprise, so maybe she got into it BECAUSE of Sentaro?). Finally she forgives her Angel, but tells her "next time you do something like that, you have to go back into your egg."

Angels are absolutely obedient to their Goddesses'. So when Skuld came to Sentaro's BMX race but was about to leave before congratulating him, Scarlet shoved her forward through the crowd. Since that went well, she decided not to be angry with Scarlet... but she had already gone back into her egg. She had done it, knowing that would be the consequence.

Skuld was given her egg to wear around her neck like a necklace. Right beside the necklace Sentaro gave her.

She missed Scarlet. A lot. And after an adventure where Mara used a mental force amplifier to give Sayoko enormous amounts of magic in a plot to send Belldandy home to Yggdrasil, Skuld was inspired and built her own amplifier, hoping it would make her magic strong enough that Scarlet could be unsealed and join her again.

Unfortunately, Keiichi, trying to find out where the innards of his TV and radio went, accidentally activated it before she had built an off switch. Belldandy's wind element spell could not break through the resultant water wall. Urd, desperate to save Skuld and Keiichi tried what she had dreamed of but not been able to dare to do. She called forth her angel...for the first time since she had met her, her other self. World of Elegance - an angel with a pure white wing like the angels should have and a jet black wing closer to a Demon's familiar.

World of Elegance and Urd got through the machine and shut it down. Urd then proceeded, in true Urd fashion, to rub it in to Skuld every chance she got that she had and Angel and Skuld didn't.

Soon after the incident where time was being destroyed by a demon named Velspar and he became a cat - something that led to Skuld and Urd going back to Yggdrasil to desperately try and save the systems from crashing catastrophically which would have destroyed Earth and a chunk of Yggdrasil - one of the Valkyries, the fighting force, came to earth. She was Lind - the Binary Angel - so known because her angel had only one wing.

Lind informed them that a terrible infernal creature called an Angel Eater had come to earth, and she was there to protect them. Skuld and Keiichi, neither of them having Angels, were told there was nothing they could do to help. They couldn't even be bait.

Urd's Angel was stolen. Then Peorth's Le Rose Magnifique. (Peorth is a friend of the three Goddesses who kept finding excuses to come and visit.) When Belldandy's Angel, Blessed Bell, was stolen in front of Lind, she figured out how... the Angel Eater had attached itself like a parasite to her own Angel.

Lind came up with a cunning plan that required Skuld to have an Angel, and for Keiichi to take her other angel - that was why her Angel had only one wing, somehow she had TWO Angels - as his own. Which is how, long story cut very short since the rest has little to do with Skuld herself, she got Nobel Scarlet back. Not because she wanted an Angel out of jealousy, but because she truly needed her, and truly loved her.

    Personality:
Skuld... Skuld is a child on the cusp of no longer being one. While she is learning to rely on herself more, she still relies too heavily on her machines. She hates being called a kid, but still acts the part, much to her own chagrin. She is still very much learning who she is and who she will be.

She is stubborn, though she would call it determined. She likes to prove that her way is the best, and that she is a genius. She is actually a genius, she's just often... short sighted. She is happy to build and fix anything for anyone, even if she does not like the person, and even if she was not asked.

Her inventions often either look true to life - the sand doll, Sigel, or terribly silly and cartoony - Skuld bombs, anything with Banpei's face... What they all have in common is that they are all things that are generally seen as impossible at the tech level of Earth. Her creations do unexpected things, have a strong resiliency and... every one of them has a self destruct. Even Banpei and Sigel. In fact, with most of them, if something goes wrong, in a fit of ire, she will blow them up with a flip of a switch.

"Skillfully superb execution. totally amateurish ending, it's got to be Skuld."

Skuld has attention/focus issues in that she can either hyper focus so much that she ignores everything around her and forgets her true goal, or she can get distracted at the drop of the hat, and since she starts both modes by seeming super focused, it'd hard to tell which way she'll go. She'll be focused on tapping into satellites to find Belldandy and Keiichi, and then freak out, scaring everyone around her, because she found something - an ice cream shop a mile from the house she's never been to She can also focus too much on a theory... she set up a search grid pattern to find Bell and K1 once while they were missing, and started the radius 50 feet out from the house, not realizing they might not ever have left... The Lord of Terror challenged that she couldn't make a 12th dimensional scythe, and she managed to forget that he was going to use it to cut the universal super-string in her excitement to build it.

But for all her faults, she's a genuinely good person who does want to be helpful. And when she succeeds, unless it is against Urd, she allows herself a moment of pride, and then moves on. She managed to defeat the Lord of Terror's Ultimate Destruction Program using a floppy disk and a magnet, when Bell chased it out of Keiichi, but other than one panel of her snarking at the disk... it doesn't really come up again. You will always get the "BECAUSE I AM A GENIUS" moments from her, but they rarely linger, and then she's on to her next challenge.

    Powers/Abilities:

Skuld is a Goddess, second class, limited, and the best debugger in Yggdrasil. Magically, her powers are still nascent, she is still learning.

~She can teleport through water - sometimes managing to arrive where she means to, more often appearing inside someone's too hot tea or a bucket of mop water.

~She can stamp insulting words on someone's face.

~She can perform small acts of levitation.

~She can encourage a flower to bloom.

~She can call up her element, though it rarely does what she asks it to. The last time she tried a water spell to create the illusion of light filled butterflies she drew forth a small torrent of water that tried to drown her where she stood. With the force amplifier she created a wall of swiftly moving water that encircled her and the machine that she could not stop.

~random other abilities pop up when inspired by love for another person. She repaired Sentaro's bike, taking off all the scratches and damage (which turned out to be a mistake) just because she really loved the idea of his being able to ride a new, beautiful, bike. She also was able to create enough of an air cushion when he was falling one time to save him from breaking his neck. "I don't care if I can never use my magic again, just please give me my full power now!"

~Summoning Nobel Scarlet. She can do this again, but is hesitant to do so, because she's afraid she'll say the wrong thing and Scarlet will be sealed up again. (when she arrives in Tel, she'll have Scarlet in her egg as a necklace again, which will let her know the Angel is sealed up.)

~Ice cream recharge - she can regain energy, stay up impossible lengths of time, and gain more power by eating ice cream. (Urd gets the same from booze, Belldandy from Tea.) The problem is in order to do anything useful, the AMOUNT she has to eat is staggering. But she never gets a stomach ache from too much of it. So... that's something.

~Goddess. So... immortal. They have automated systems in their emblems that keep regenerating their outer form when they are on Earth, so that they can be seen and can interact. These systems are linked to Yggdrasil, which is why, when it crashed, she needed the bracelet to stabilize her. In Tel, as discussed, the bracelet the indebted get will serve the same function. Standard immortal package - she heals quickly, doesn't injure easily, immune to mortal viruses. She is, however, susceptible to certain high level computer viruses, as are all Goddesses.

~Not magic, but...she is a super gifted genius inventor. She can build nearly anything from minimal parts. She can blueprint, and she can work off of someone else's design, but she will almost always modify it, because of course she knows better. She also builds these seemingly impossible things SWIFTLY. She can repair almost anything.

    Appearance:

She looks to be about 14 years old, with long black hair that flows to her ankles when she leaves it loose. She has a pretty face, if a bit round, and large expressive eyes. Over her nose and to either side of it she has emblems of the future, these are the links between her and Yggdrasil, and contain all her core programs.

She has the body of s kid still, more or less, which annoys her, and she tends towards either grungy mechanic's gear, or something like shorts or a short skirt with a longer piece in the back, and an odd top.
